Often I happen to be out of town on NosillaCast Live recording night, say at Lindsay’s or out in Zion, but I still record the show. For the last few years, I’ve been using my go-to road mic, the $68 ATR2100. While it’s been very good to me, the. When you connect the H4n to the computer via USB cable, the 'USB MODE SELECT' screen appears. In this condition, the unit and the computer are not yet in the online condition. You must use the jog dial to move the cursor to 'AUDIO I/F' and then press the jog dial. At the next screen, move the cursor to 'CONNECT' and press the jog dial again.

1 day ago I want to use the zoom h4n pro as a mic for recording an acoustic instrument and send the output from the h4n through an effects pedal, and then into an audio interface to record in my DAW. Do you have a 'proper' microphone to use instead of the Zoom, using the Zoom 'via USB will involve a round trip through the computer which, as Drew says. Mario Ajero shows how to fix the pitch of the Zoom H4n Handy Recorder when used as a USB external microphone or audio interface on a Mac computer. Making sure the frequencies match on both the device and the Mac's Audio MIDI setup is the key to making your voice not sound like a chipmunk in both recording and online lessons.

hi,
I am running OBS 24.0.6 on an iMac mid-2011 (High Sierra). I have usb 2.0 ports, connected to my Zoom H4n for audio voice recording input.
When I record, the voice seems slightly sped up, and there is annoying popping. This same configuration works perfectly with audacity.
Is there something I need to configure any different on OBS? I configured the audio input through settings and selected the H4 audio input. The recording levels look good. Can't figure out why the audio is recording and all messed up.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.
